Our patients may prefer to rest in a full sleep, using general anesthesia during hair transplantation due to such reasons as the fear of needles, ability to carry a blood and unwillingness to be bored during the procedure.
Along with the fact that patients sleep throughout the operation, their comfort is high, but after the operation nausea and vomiting are the common disadvantages of general anesthesia.
Local or general anesthesia is a choice totally left to the discretion of the patient, since it does not change the outcome of the procedure.
